Aftermath of the Storm

A storm in Kotzebue, Alaska has caused the ice to break up and create pressure ridges and pile up along the shore. The ice is usually about a foot thick and stays in place.

Jimmy Evak writes,

Even though the ice usually stays in place at this thickness (about a foot thick) the storm broke up the ice, creating pressure ridges and pile up along the shore at Kotzebue, Alaska.
