Scientists say 2020 was exceptionally warm in Finland

Scientists have reported that 2020 was an exceptionally warm year in Finland, with June experiencing the highest number of days with temperatures reaching 25 degrees Celsius since digital records began. The Finnish Meteorological Institute noted that some parts of the country experienced 21 days of 25-degree-or warmer weather. The warming has been attributed to climate change and ice-free Arctic seas, which have affected the weather in Finland. The Arctic regions, including Finland, have warmed twice as much as the rest of the global average. The World Meteorological Organization has predicted that 2020 is likely to be the warmest year worldwide.
