Smaller salmon and slower returns

Observation by Sonny Lamont:

The Sockeye salmon are coming back smaller for the Newhalen River and Iliamna Lake, plus not a thick as they once did when I was younger. We used to do 200/250 fish a day, the most we got this season in one sitting was 82 which is unusual. I believe the reason behind this is the ocean water Temperature is warming causing the fish to come back sooner then the five years they spend in the ocean.
