Koyuk, Alaska, United States |
Observation by Rebecca Charles:
Unusual fish dying off at Iglutalik. Due to too warm of water.
Comments from LEO Editors:
LEO has received several observations about salmon moralities in rivers along the western coast, possibly related to warm water temperatures from the recent high temperatures across the state.
These observations are being forwarded to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Sea Grant Marine Advisory Program, Kawerak Association, and the Norton Sound Health Corporation.
