Observation: We are now going back into weather we already had in late Jan. And Feb. Lots of -2 to -6C and even above 0. The intervening weather was abnormal -31C. Now we have the -2 to -6C which is normal. The new normal is topsy turvey. Comment by LEO BC coordinator, Tom Okey: I've inserted as Figure 1, the Temperature and Precipitation Graph for 1981 to 2010 Canadian Climate Normals for station 'Whitehorse A', located at 60°42'34.200" N latitude, 135°04'07.800" W longitude, at 706.20 m elevation, from this Government of Canada link. These data show that indeed the average temperatures for the period 1981 to 2010 in March is -6.3C with a standard deviation of 3.5C.
