Consult from NWT Climate Change Unit: Brian Sieben writes: "Hi Abby, Yes your observation that Fall 2016 was warmer than normal (the 30 year climate average) matches the observed climate data at the Yellowknife Airport. The average fall air temperature at the Yellowknife Airport for the 1980-2010 period was -2.3C while this past fall (2016) the mean air temperature during this period was -0.2 C. Thus this past fall was 2.1C warmer than normal."
