Several ski areas in Alaska are experiencing a great season with ample snowfall, leading to extensions of their seasons. Alyeska Resort in Girdwood has already surpassed its 10-year average of snowfall, with a base of 150 inches, and will continue daily operations until April 25, with several weekends in May also open. Arctic Valley Ski Area has also extended its season, with visitor numbers up and great season pass sales. Skeetawk is still considering whether to extend its season, while Hilltop Ski Area has yet to announce a close date. Eaglecrest Ski Area in Juneau will be open through at least April 11, with the possibility of an extension depending on staffing.
