The Saariselk ski resort in Lapland, Finland has reopened its slopes for three days due to an unusually snowy start to summer. The resort, which officially ended its winter skiing season on 14 May, will open its slopes from 8-10 June during the day and on 8 and 9 June from 10pm to midnight, allowing enthusiasts to ski in the midnight sun. Local hotels are offering bargain packages in June and the resort is considering making the summertime slopes an annual tradition.
