One person was killed in a roof collapse at a gym in South Anchorage, Alaska during a fitness competition. More than two dozen people were in the building at the time, and while most were able to escape, three were trapped inside. One person was treated at the scene, another was rescued by the Anchorage Fire Department search and rescue team and taken to the hospital, and a third person was found dead. The cause of the roof collapse is under investigation.
