Odd Sørensen discovered this dead whooper swan on Kjerringholmen in Fredrikstad on 10 April. The Norwegian Food Safety Authority has received daily reports of dead birds. The are asking the public to help report bird mortality in particular with ducks, geese, swans, seagulls, eagles, buzzards, crowd and ravens. In order to detect bird flu, it is important that they get samples from the dead birds quickly. The birds the fisherman has found have been dead too long to be examined.
