Fire crews battled multiple gorse fires in the Dublin and Wicklow mountains, including a blaze near Ticknock that spread across the hillside and another on Glassamucky Mountain. Military Road was closed, but no injuries were reported and one fire was brought under control before causing more extensive damage.
