A large heather/grassland fire on Jørlandsfjellet near Jørlandsvatnet in Bø (Vesterålen, Nordland) spread rapidly in strong wind and difficult terrain, and was reported as out of control. Authorities also warned of high wildfire danger across several regions of Norway due to very dry conditions and multiple recent vegetation fires.
