The territorial government is alerting residents to be prepared for potential impacts of flooding in certain areas of Ross River.

Emergency measures organization has issued advisories for Upper Liard, Carmacks and Ross River areas.

The Yukon River Quest has been cancelled for the second year in a row. When the river is high like that the banks are being eroded, there is no place to pull out so if you do have a problem it's really dangerous indeed.

An evacuation alert has been issued by Yukon Emergency Measures Organization for areas of Tagish, Marsh Lake and Lewes River Road. This alert is due to high water and flooding in the areas. Water levels have exceeded what they were in the 2007 flood.
