Mountain lion sighting on the Chandalar River
A mountain lion is robbing the tribal fish wheel in Tazlina. There have been several sightings in recent years.
Interior residents are reporting varieties of wildlife that are new to the region, including mule deer, mountain lions and whitetail deer.
The city keeps a record of the number of reported sightings of the animals, along with other wildlife. There were three sightings in 2007, about 10 in 2015 and 27 this year.
