The public security, duty of the State, right and responsibility of all, is exercised for the preservation of public order and the security of persons and assets, through the following organs:
V - Military police and military fire brigades. §5 Military police are responsible for ostensive police and the preservation of public order; to military fire brigades, in addition to the duties defined by law, is responsible for the execution of civil defense activities.
