Warm Weather Delaying Winter

The warm weather in Evansville, Alaska is delaying the arrival of winter. The lack of precipitation is allowing for a later fall, and the clear skies are causing the temperature to drop below freezing in the evenings. The animals are already preparing for winter, and the night sky is becoming more brilliant as the days get shorter. The locals remember when it was below 0 degrees at this time of year.

Observation: It is unusually nice outside these days. The people that have lived here for decades remember when it was below 0 this time of year. The skies are clear so it gets below freezing in the evening but the lack of precipitation is allowing us a later fall. It is also very quiet, most animals have already bedded down or are in the process of readying them selves for the winter. The stars are also becoming more brilliant as the night gets longer each day.
