A month’s rain in one day

Reykjavik, Iceland experienced a month's worth of rain in just one day, with around 80mm of rain falling over the weekend, beating the previous November record of 40mm. The extreme weather also included high winds and temperatures reaching 18°C in some parts of the country. Domestic flights were cancelled and some flights were diverted to Scotland or Norway. The forecast for the coming week is for generally calm weather with some showers and temperatures remaining above freezing.
