The remnants of Typhoon Lan have caused torrential rain in Juneau, Alaska, resulting in the closure of a bridge. However, no injuries have been reported. The rain is exceptional even by Juneau's standards and is due to an "atmospheric river" of subtropical moisture pointed at Southeast Alaska.
