After a three-year hiatus due to lack of snow or rain, the Anchorage ski jumping club was finally able to hold their New Year competition thanks to a combination of artificial and natural snow. The event was combined with nordic skiing events and was covered by the Alaska Dispatch News.
Observation: It has been three years since the Anchorage ski jumping club has been able to hold our New Year competition. Last year and the one before there was no snow, or it rained. This year we made snow and got some natural. Winter has brought back our sport! We had combined both our jumping camp and nordic skiing events on the same day.
