Rock slides prompt intermittent closures of Seward Highway south of Anchorage

Rock slides have caused intermittent lane closures on the Seward Highway south of Anchorage since Wednesday night due to wind and rain. The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities has been clearing the highway between Mile 108 and 109, just south of Beluga Point. A rock slide on Thursday caused a crash and closed a lane of traffic. Slides have been reported since Wednesday night.
