The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for Alaska's Bering Sea coastline due to a storm with strong winds. The warnings cover coastal zones of Western Alaska and the Yukon River delta, with flooding expected to start around noon on Monday and move north. The storm surge and big waves will push water levels 3 to 6 feet above normal tides, with low-lying areas along the coast and near the mouth of the Yukon at risk of flooding. However, buildings, roads and runways are not expected to be damaged in most communities.
