The directorate has warned of potential serious damage caused by floods. The snow has also made it difficult for snowplow operators to clear roads, with some areas experiencing up to eight meters of snow. The authorities have advised people to move valuable items and loose objects away from areas that could be flooded. Insurance companies have also prepared for potential flooding by stocking up on pumps and containers.
