Heavy Fog Brings Diverted Flights To Kenai Airport From Anchorage

Heavy fog in the Kenai Peninsula and Anchorage area has caused delays, cancellations, and re-routed flights at both the Kenai Municipal Airport and the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. On Thursday, seven planes were diverted from Anchorage to the Kenai Municipal Airport due to the fog. As of 5:30pm on Friday, all flights out of the Kenai Airport are grounded due to the dense fog advisory. Passengers are advised to contact their airline directly for flight status. However, the fog has started to clear up as of around 9:45am on Friday.
