Two South Island beaches, Gonzales Bay Beach and Cadboro Gyro Park Beach, were placed under advisory after water tests found Enterococci levels almost triple Island Health’s acceptable limit. The bacteria indicate fecal contamination, prompting a public health warning for beach users.
