Blue crabs are appearing more often in Maine waters as the Gulf of Maine warms, and researchers tested whether they might help suppress invasive green crabs. Lab trials found larger blue crabs can kill and eat green crabs, but scientists warn the blues may also add to pressure on soft-shell clams.
