11-6-13 Dead seabirds - Nanwalek, Alaska. USA
Observation: Two dead birds washed up on the tide line on Nanwalek Beach. It was some kind of sea birds and one of the community members thought it was a murre. We posted this because of the die-off of sea birds that occurred in the Bering Sea. It is a big concern about food safety because people are hunting for sea birds and ducks and planning to serve them over the holidays. Nancy Yeaton, Nanwalek IRA Council
LEO Comment: LEO Network asks members to continue to share any observations of bird die-off events when they occur.
