The Comox Valley Regional District declared a local state of emergency after heavy rain caused flooding and high water, including a flood warning for Dove Creek and closures in Courtenay. Search and Rescue reported rescuing residents and animals from flooded areas and warned that further flooding could occur with incoming water and higher tides.
