A grey seal pup climbed onto shoreline rocks in Helsinki’s Ruoholahti after unusually rapid sea-ice melt left pups closer to shore than normal. Authorities and veterinarians warn the public not to move seal pups themselves and to contact professionals if an animal appears to need help.
