A cluster of strong aftershocks (about M5.0–5.7) struck near the Yukon–Alaska border late Dec. 31, 2025, following a M7.0 earthquake on Dec. 6. The shaking was lightly felt in Whitehorse, with no damage reported, and more aftershocks are expected.
