The city, according to Norwegian media, has to reach back more than a century to find a wetter five-day stretch than the one it just experienced, with 4.5 inches of precipitation.

A sudden change in weather has resulted in challenging driving conditions across Norway, with red warnings issued for parts of the country due to the risk of avalanches and other hazards.
